History and details
The scene was constructed in 1921 and was initially called Shields-Watkins Field which is currently the title of the playing area. It is named after General Robert Neyland, that had been the head football coach at the University of Tennessee. The stadium has a formal capacity of 102,455 and is the fourth largest stadium in the USA and fifth biggest stadium on earth.
Uses of the scene
Originally used as a home ground for the Tennessee Volunteers Football team, the stadium has also hosted a number of exhibition games to the NFL. Occasionally, it was also used for concerts, spiritual parties, and political rallies.
